TATTOO AFTERCARE
01. First 24 Hours
Keep your bandage on for at least 2 to 4 hours. If your artist used Saniderm, keep it on for 24 hours unless it leaks. Once removed, wash gently with fragrance-free, antibacterial soap and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean paper towel—do not rub.
02. Days 2–7
Wash the tattoo 2-3 times a day. After washing and drying, apply a very thin layer of artist-recommended ointment or unscented lotion. The tattoo will start to peel and itch—this is normal. Do not pick or scratch the scabs, as this can pull out ink and cause scarring.
03. Long-Term Care
Once fully healed (usually 3-4 weeks), always apply high-SPF sunscreen when the tattoo is exposed to the sun. UV rays are the primary cause of tattoo fading. Keep your skin hydrated and healthy to maintain the sharpness and vibrancy of your ink for years to come.
